There’s a game people have played since the beginning of time
Finally, has come the time to speak on it through the rhythm of rhyme.
Men and Women have participated in this complicated game.
Although the players over generations change, the basic concept remains the same.
Now this perspective arises from my own personal theory.
I urge that you recognize your acts of foulness, should you begin to identify and feel weary.
This discussion covers both sides of the spectrum.
So I suggest that you LISTEN and if you see yourself, better CHECK yourself and correct ‘em.

Ladies, there’s no harm in longing for the comfort and security of a “Good Man”.
However, before you start searching, wouldn’t it help to know exactly where you stand?
You say you want an “Honest” man, one who keeps it real.
Then when he speaks the truth, you act uncouth and can’t even deal.
Always claiming to want a Grown+!@#$Man, one who handles his biz.
Yet you let your insecurities remain and band against this Man and everything he is!
We all want a man whose strong enough to stand on his own
But that’s a must for you to do too, he can’t be with you if you’ve never yourself been alone.
There are many types of men and the good ones are out there.
So stop frontin’ and start hunting’ by looking here, there, and everywhere.
Stop sackin’ and start stackin’ up your bevy of prospects.
Stop trippin’ and double dippin’, taking all that men say out of context.
Get over keeping it “real” girl, better get to know you and do your best to keep it “true”.
So that a man will know exactly what it’s going to take for him to be with “You”!

Gentlemen, I hear a “Good Woman” is what you say that you want.
But do you want her for the good she can bring or do you need someone to flaunt?
You want a woman to be independent but your ego needs her to depend on you.
She’s got to be down, no matter what +!@#$ you choose to take her through.
Some of you allow pride to give power to a few more dollar signs.
When will you take the stand and be a real man, so true love can be yours to find?
Stop trickin’ and start pickin’ your women for the greater good and not for quantity.
So that you can get all that you need from her, because there with you is where she wants to be.
It is far from wrong for you to want a woman who is legit.
However, you can’t get mad when she chooses to roll out
When she sees you have doubts & refuse to commit.

Yeah, this is the game that Men and Women play
Maybe with a little prayer we’ll get it right someday.
Until then it’ll be continuous, Men act like boys and Women like girls
When will we learn that for all concerned
