Two less than nine
Yet refines and polishes
the inclines
of my mind
Perfecting me
Filling me with
exorbitant amounts
of wisdom
Sententiously that is
full of axioms and maxims
Truthfully and spiritually
discerned
She leads me
Teaches me
Rules of the arts
What must come from
the heart
to reach
the hearts of many
She brings words
pellucid, to my mind
from many heavens
Translucent and clear
I write
Intertwined with

A Soulsistahs view of a street hustling brother,
though often shrewd elude and conclude
Brothers simply, Cannot relate nor compute
that his mental state stem from sheer stupidity,
not genetic traits or the sad illusion of Fate?
Taunted by her daily fears of losing
yet another one of her sons fathers
through gang violence, because of his behavior

Soul ties endured for love a different way
Viewed by some as an abomination today
How can I feel Christ loves me inside?
With my belly aching for one so despised
Public eyes only see
Love displayed abnormally
Being pulled emotionally by the same sex
Strongholds my mental strength
Realizing every backward slip
Feeling weak physically, fighting spiritually
I lose my emotional grip
God help me is my desperate cry
Traveling this same destiny all of my life
